Promises of God for the whole New Year - 2002

Dear Brothers and sisters of our Baroda Bible Club”,

Loving New Year Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   As I was praying, the Lord guided me through the word of God to find a clear guidance for the whole year 2002. As the Lord gave all these points in my mind there was a great peace of my mind and confidence came into my heart.  So as you go through this message I expect the same thing to happen in your life also. I request you to trust all this promises of God and believe with me in our lives, that these things are going to happen as it is written in these verses.

1.      Josh 1:3 I will give you every place where you set your foot – [It is a great promise for us to inherit many areas for the Lord.  On this basis only in many countries they started the “Prayer Walk” When we walk in faith in the streets of our town in the name of Jesus binding all the demons which are making the people sin against God boldly and release the Holy Spirit of God in that area to bring convictions on the people we are going to get lot of people released for the glory of God.  In Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.]

2.      Josh 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. – [Jesus not only told us to go but given us authority to go as in Mat 10:1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.  The same Jesus told in Mark 6:7 “Calling the Twelve to him, he sent them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits” Also in Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

3.      I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. – [This is the last promise of our Lord God when he gave to his disciples the Great Commission as in Mat 28:19 & 20, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

4.      Josh 1:6  "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land – [God has made us priests and Kings so that we can use our God given authority and also Intercede like a priest also as in Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

5.      Josh 1:7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. – [In the life of Joseph wherever he went there he was successful, even in the jail.  The same way Daniel also was successful in three different kingdoms and kings.]

6.      Josh 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. – [When we walk as per the word of God we will become a righteous person then our Lord will not forget us, wherever we go we can take the presence of our Lord also with us.  In Psa 1:1to 3, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

7.      Josh 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Three things to follow in our lives]

1.      Be strong and courageous. – [We need basically faith on God and on his promises to have this only reading and hearing more word of God will help you to increase your word.]

2.      Do not be terrified; - [Fear comes from the enemy the Satan so do not allow that to posses our heart as in 2 Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.]

3.      Do not be discouraged, - [If we expect a great reward from the Lord we should not allow any discouragement to come in our life.  Since apostle Paul also says in Rom 2:7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; Now the question is how to persevere and avoid discouragements or over come all discouragements? When David was in great distress what he did is a good example for us to follow in this year as in 1 Sam 30:6 Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

For the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." – [In Deu 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.  Also in Deu 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

May the Lord help each one of us to enjoy all these blessings and testify towards the end of this Year 2002 that God helped them to see all these seven blessings.

Yours in His Service
