Dear ‘Baroda bible club' members,
Loving Easter Greetings to all of you in the name of our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. Easter is the time of Joy and real celebration for all of us. But it also remains us to be more focused to get the resurrection of our God in our lives by meditating it in this way this “E-A-S-T-E-R.”
E – Evangelize the whole world by daily reaching some one who is unreached with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Do some thing to fulfill the great commission every day Mat 28:18 to 20, “Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Vs.19, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, vs.20, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
A – Ask God for souls daily this is the only way we can remain as His disciple in this earth as in John 15:8, “This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” Also in Psa 2:8, “Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” John 14:13 & 14, ‘And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. Vs.14, You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 15:7, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.”
S – Serve God daily with all your Strength – Jesus came to serve not to be served. By Feeding and taking care of the sheep with a compassionate heart we can truly love our Lord Jesus Christ as in John 21:15 to 17, “When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." Vs.16, Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep." Vs.17, The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.”
T – Testify for the glory of God to overcome Satan in life. Rev 12:11, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Like John the Baptist did we must also testify for the light as in John 1:7, “He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe.” Overcoming the devil is needed to get inside the heaven as in Rev 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” Also in Rev 2:11, ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.” Rev 3:21, “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
E – Enjoy the fellowship of God with all his saints Heb 10:25, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Psa 133:1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” 1 John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,”
R – Ready for the resurrection in our own lives - Like Apostle Paul our desire is to some how get resurrected Phil 3:10 & 11, “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, Vs.11, “and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
How to get ready for this resurrection? Confess your sin and take water baptism for the remission of your sin as in Acts 2:38, “Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Taking the baptism is a must as in Rom 6:4 & 5, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Vs.5, If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. Receiving the Holy Spirit is needed for our own resurrection as in Rom 8:11, “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
