It Was No Accident

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Last month I sent out a blank email dated for June. It was a goof on my part (it sure did get a lot of responses). When I was setting up for June's "Daily Encounters," I accidentally hit the 'Send' button instead of the 'Save' button! "Oops," I said to myself as soon as I saw what I did. But trying to take back a sent email is about the same as trying to unring a bell! At any rate. . .one lady wrote to me about my goof. Let me share her email with you.

"The blank 'Daily Encounter' you sent was not a mistake or error. Let me tell you why. Last Friday, my 19 year- old daughter was assaulted while walking only a block from our house. Although she was scratched and bruised and her blouse ripped, she managed to get away before anything else happened. We live in a small city that has only one Christian counseling service and we would have had to wait a week to get an appointment.

"When your blank 'Daily Encounter' came, for the first time ever, I read about your site to click on for healing life's hurts. My daughter and I read that and printed off the page. We had our own 'counseling time' reading it together and it started the healing process that we know will take some time to complete. "So, even though it was a boo-boo on your part, God knew it was just what we needed! Praise Him, for He is always faithful! Do you know that I've been getting 'Daily Encounter' for 2 years and never noticed that link to click on before?

Thank you." -- Sincerely, C.W.

P.S. The link CW clicked on was, "Healing Life's Hurts"
