Seven detestable things that the lord hates
Bible text: Pro. 6:16 to 19;
Dear brothers and sisters,
Loving greetings in the name of our lord Jesus Christ. We must know in our lives the things which the almighty God will not approve and hate so that we can avoid such things in our lives to become the beloved disciple of our lord in this world.
The bible clearly lists out seven things which the lord cannot approve as in Prov 6:16, “There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him :
- Prov 6:17 haughty eyes ,
Psa 18:27 For Thou dost save an afflicted people; But haughty eyes Thou dost abase. Prov 21:4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart, The lamp of the wicked, is sin.
A lying tongue ,
Hands that shed innocent blood ,
Prov 6:18 a heart that devises wicked schemes ,
Feet that are quick to rush into evil ,
Prov 6:19 a false witness who pours out lies and
A man who stirs up dissension among brothers .
May the lord help each one of us to be vigilant in our lives to all these seven things that the lord hates so that we can be beloved disciple of our lord Jesus Christ and reflect a Christ like character in this world. Amen.
