Gen 22:11 & 12, “But the angel of the LORD called
out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am,"
he replied. Dear brothers and sisters,
Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today let us meditate about the divine call of our lord
in our lives. Definitely God calls us by our name very specifically and He
blesses us all as we respond to His calling in obedience. We see here
twice the angel of the lord called Abraham by his name. First time, the angel
of the lord called him to stop him from offering his son as a burnt offering
in obedience to God when he tested his obedience because our God is against
all human sacrifices as in Gen 22:12, "Do not
lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I
know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only
son." So Abraham offered one ram as a
burnt offering in the place of Isaac on that day as in Gen 22:13 & 14,
“Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its
horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering
instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And
to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be
provided." Again the angel of the lord
called him by his name to bless him as in Gen 22:15 to 18, “The angel of
the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, "I swear
by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not
withheld your son, your only son, I will
surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the
sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take
possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring
all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." Whenever we obey God with all our heart there will be some
special blessings which we can receive from Him. Acts 5:32
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God
has given to those who obey him." May the lord help us today as
we take time to obey God and His commandments with all our strength, heart
and mind. Amen. Further Bible Study 1 Chr 21:19, “So David went up in
obedience to the word that Gad had spoken in the name of the LORD.” 2 Chr 31:20 & 21, “This is what Hezekiah did throughout Rom 5:19, “For just as through the
disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the
obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.” Rom 6:16, ‘Don't you know that when
you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the
one whom you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to
obedience, which leads to righteousness?” Heb 5:8 Although he was a son, he
learned obedience from what he suffered Decision To Make Prov 6:6 to 8, “Go to
the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no
overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its
food at harvest.” Things To Thank God Psa 12:7,
“O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever.” Today's Prayer The unprecedented harvest being won in Africa, Asia and Pray for the seminar in Your Web-Site
