2 Cor 12:10, “That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Today let us see about the importance of Getting our strength and the grace from the Lord. Many a times we as a human being may feel very weak and not worthy to do the service of God on this earth. But the Lord who has called us has some definite purposes behind our calling to Him. Let us ask god to reveal that purposes of God in our lives, so that we can fulfill the very purposes of God in our lives. God himself knowingly called the weak people of this earth to the service of God as in 1 Cor 1:27 to 28; “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. Vs.28, He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are,” If you ask for the reason why he has done like this it is in I Cor.1: 29, “so that no one may boast before him.” Also the bible says in 1 Cor 1:25, “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.” We serve the people to whom God called us to serve only with his strength not with ours as in 2 Cor 13:4 “For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you.”

Apostle Paul says that he is delighted in all types of sufferings which he has gone through while serving the lord Jesus Christ on this earth as in 2 Cor 12:10, “That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight – [apostle Paul was very happy to go through all these five different types of difficulties in life for the name of our Lord. Since, God graciously strengthened him, enabled him to do and fulfill the ministry.]
1. In time of weaknesses, - [2 Cor 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. "Always Jesus will reveal his strength when we are weak]
2. In time of insults, - [we must remember what the lord said to His disciples in Mat.5:11 & 12, “great will be the reward in heaven.]
3. In time of hardships, - [He said that no hardship can separate us from the love of Christ as in Rom 8:35, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?]
4. In time of persecutions, - [He said that the present sufferings are not comparable with the future glory as in Rom 8:18]
5. In time of difficulties. – [All those who try to live a godly life will suffer in this earth as in 2 Tim. 3:12.]

Apostle Paul says “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – [the human weakness cannot stop the work of God that is why when apostle Paul was asking for the perfect healing in his life Jesus was promising him to give his grace than total healing in life as in 2 Cor 12:8 & 9, “Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. Vs.9, But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

May the Lord help each one of us to get this divine strength from the Lord almighty so that we can keep on serve the Lord until the Lord calls us home. Amen.
