Prov 6:6, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in Jesus name. Today let us see about the importance of growing in wisdom and remove all laziness from our lives. Many a times it is the laziness which ruins many wealthy people to become poor so it is very important for us to avoid this nature from our lives. Let us see some thing on this clearly.

God wants his people to go to the ant and learn wisdom by observing its methods in this life as in Prov 6:6, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! Why we have to go and learn particularly from this ant.

What way they can serve as a role model to us to observe them and learn something from their life now.
• The ants are not having any commander to keep on commanding them to do this and that.
• The ants are not having any ruler to rule them with wisdom so they have to use their own brain and work on their own interest to live a better life on this earth as in Prov 6:7, “It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,
• The ants has wisdom to save the food and the energy for the coming future
• The ants will gather the food when it is available as in Prov 6:8, “yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”

Though man kind have many better thinking abilities and organizing skills we are not using them to do some thing for the future as some wise people to govern them and guide them they are not using all the capacity to work when it is proper and appropriate to do some work because of their laziness and sleep and enjoy the present life without thinking about the coming future as in Prov 6:9, “How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?

There is a great danger in sleeping without doing any work. Because to such people when the poverty comes in life it will come with it’s strength that no one can resist it’s coming as in Prov 6:10 & 11, “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest--and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.”

May the lord help each one of to avoid all laziness in life and start working like the ants which are on their own realizing its responsibility work and save for the future with the real wisdom. Amen.
