1 Cor 1:11, “My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today let us see about the importance of avoiding all quarrels, which are very much prevalent among the different groups of Christian in this world now. Let us analyze all about the various reasons which may be the root cause for it and the importance of the peace among the brothers as a follower of Jesus Christ. We are all called to follow the lord Jesus Christ so we must be ready to pay a price for the peace. The bible reveals one of the striking character of our lord Jesus from any other worldly leader is his meekness, love, gentleness and he will not quarrel or voice out before other human as in Mat 12:19, “He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.” If we really follow such a God on this earth there cannot be any quarrel breaking out through us.

Apostle Paul says if we like to do more work for the lord in this world we should not quarrel with any one as in 2 Tim 2:24, “And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.” So it is Satan’s cunning plan, which makes so to quarrel any thing and every thing so that we cannot do any service to the master. Jesus told us to deny ourselves to follow him when we walk as per our desires we will quarrel as in James 4:1, “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?

The bible says pride is one of the reasons for breaking of quarrels and if the people of God can remain humble they can avoid this quarrels as in Prov 13:10, “Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.” When we are wise we will try to avoid the quarrels at any cost.

The bible advises us to avoid sitting in the place in which a mocker may sit and make fun of others in Ps.1:1, because he fabricates quarrels among the brothers as in Prov 22:10, “Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.

We have to avoid the company of the people who are really hot tempered because they also create a quarrel among the brothers as in Prov 15:18, “A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. Only a man with patients can put down quarrels.

We have to avoid quarrels at any cost because keeping the dam intact is safer for all once it is broken nobody can control the consequences in the same way if we start a quarrel with our brothers we cannot control it easily later as in Prov 17:14, “Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”

We should be very careful to avoid quarrels because quarrels makes us to commit sin as in Prov 17:19, “He who loves a quarrel loves sin; he who builds a high gate invites destruction.”

If we like to live a decent and honorable life on this earth we must avoid quarrels at any cost as in Prov 20:3, “It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.

We should not interfere with the matters which are not ours if we do that it will fan up the quarrels in to a uncontrollable situations as in Prov 26:17, “Like one who seizes a dog by the ears is a passer-by who meddles in a quarrel not his own.

If we need fire we have to keep on adding fire wood to the fire if we want to control the fire we should not add fire wood in the same way if we want to put off quarrel we should keep quiet and should not talk what all we feel in the heart before others we must learn to control our tongue as in Prov 26:20, “Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down.

Any one who has a good prayer relationship with the master can have contentment and they will not quarrel like others as in James 4:2, “You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.”

May the lord help can help of us to control ourselves to do some thing outstanding for the lord Jesus Christ.
