Today's Rhema
Prov. 1:7, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today let us see about two important things namely wisdom and foolishness. The real wise people will definitely fear and seek God in their lives first but the foolish ones despise wisdom and discipline. When we speak about wisdom we must understand this truth that even God’s foolishness is much greater than the wisdom of man as in 1 Cor 1:25, “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom,” So we cannot live wisely without the help of God. And without the wisdom and knowledge we cannot live successfully on this earth.

The bible says clearly who is a fool? "Fool" in Scripture refers to all those who could not believe in God as Psalms 14:1 says, and the one who is very arrogant and self-sufficient, one who determines what to do on his own or orders his life as if there were no God. See e.g. Luke 12:16 - 21. The rich man was not mentally deficient, but he was a "fool" because he supposed that his soul could live on the things in the barn, [Many of us also think with our own earnings we can live a comfortable happy life in the future] so they are not giving any thought about God or the eternal life. Remember this truth man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

What is the wisdom which the fools may despise in their life?
Let us learn the mistakes of the fools to avoid them in our lives. Because they think they can live longer in this world so they use with their own mind to plan the course of life without doing the will of God. They always think they can seek spiritual things some other time in the later part of their life as in Luke 12:20, “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? God can give the life and He has the authority to take that life from us at any time in any way as He pleases. The fools will do two foolish things with what has been given to them. First of all, they will keep every thing for themselves without thinking about others in a selfish manner as in Luke 12:21, “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself. They will be worse than the lepers who had the broad mind to tell the good news to others after enjoying the blessings of God as in 2 Ki 7:9, “Then they said one to another, We do not do well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.” Secondly, fools won’t believe in having their treasures in heaven they will not give to God’s kingdom or to His servants to be rich in heaven. They will keep every thing which is in surplus in the store houses of this world in [like banks, without using the surplus blessings of God since they are stingy in nature.] in Luke 12:21, and is not rich toward God. Our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us to keep things in heaven in Mat 6:19 & 20, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” Lastly the fools will despise wisdom and discipline.” If we do not have any discipline in life and fail to have self control we will get spoiled as in Prov 25:28, “Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.”

May the Lord help each one of us to follow him in this month in an intelligent manner. Amen.

Today's Prayer

Belgium

1 The slow, but steady growth of the small evangelical witness
2 Flemish areas have long had far fewer Evangelicals than the French-speaking south, but in the last 10 years have had the greater growth
3 A growing mutual respect between historical Protestants and evangelical networks
Challenges for Prayer
1 Belgium is a deeply divided nation
2 The Protestant Church is only now recovering from the destruction of its 600 congregations by the Spanish Inquisition
3 The population is culturally Catholic but rapidly secularizing
4 The nation was shocked in the 1990s by the exposure of murderous paedophile rings, some with Satanist practices
5 Protestantism has hardly grown over the past 30 years
a) The division between the EPUB and evangelical networks was heightened by the former’s efforts to claim to speak at government level for all Protestants
b) The strengthening of fellowship and ministry links between denominations
6 The lack of Belgian, and especially Flemish, Christian workers and pastors is crippling
7 Vision for growth
a) Of Flanders’ 308 administrative districts, 116 had no evangelical witness
b) Of Wallonia’s 281 administrative districts, 168 had no evangelical witness
8 Goals for achievement by the year 2015
a) Increase Francophone churches
b) Increase Flemish churches
c) In 2000, the Flemish Pentecostal churches (VVP) launched the vision of planting 120 churches
d) BEM’s ongoing vision for distributing gospel packets with a personal explanation
9 Specific outreach challenges:
a) Belgium, as a nation, is spiritually one of the neediest countries in Europe
b) The provinces with the greatest need — Flemish Brabant and East Flanders, also the Francophone Liège, Namur and Luxembourg
c) Brussels is a strategic city
d) Antwerp has only 40 or so evangelical congregations
e) North Africans (predominantly Moroccan) have increased through legal and illegal immigration
f) Turks and Kurds have proved hard to reach
g) The German-speaking cantons on the eastern border were neglected by Evangelicals until recently
h) The student population of 135,000 in 17 universities and colleges
10 Christian media ministries
