Dear brothers and sisters,
Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Today let us see about the importance of having a divine
revelation in our personal life to know God very intimately. Because
only those to whom God reveals Himself only can understand and
receive the blessings of God in their lives. Unless we know Him
in our lives we cannot have the privilege of making Him known
to this generation. Here we see about the servant of God Moses
who had a great revelation or an encounter with the lord in a
personal manner. Knowing God in our life in a very personal manner
is very important to escape the coming punishment of God as in
2 Th 1:8, “He will punish those who do not know God and
do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.”
There are few truths about God we must learn
in our lives and must tell others later:
1. God told Moses this great truth about Him and His name that
He is known in the history as I am because He exists always. Then
he told that Moses must tell the people that the I am has sent
Him that means the Lord who is alive and watches over all in this
universe has sent me. Let us see for what God has sent him among
His people.
2. God lives forever and he send some one to deliver his people
from their trouble as in Exo 3:15, “God also said to Moses,
"Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers--the
God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob--has sent
me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to
be remembered from generation to generation.”
3. God told him to call all the elders of Israel to tell that
God is watching all their problems as in Exo 3:16, “Go,
assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, 'The LORD, the
God of your fathers--the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-- appeared
to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has
been done to you in Egypt.” – Remember that nothing
will happen in our life without His knowledge.
4. God remembered his promise to Abraham that he will bring them
out of their problem as in Exo 3:17, “And I have promised
to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the
Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites--a
land flowing with milk and honey.' – God will always fulfill
His promises without fail.
5. God said that all the elders of Israel will listen to the servant
of God Moses as in Exo 3:18, “The elders of Israel will
listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of
Egypt and say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met
with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the desert to offer
sacrifices to the LORD our God.'
6. God will reveal his mighty hand to make the king of the Egypt
to send His children as in Exo 3:19, “But I know that the
king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels
him.”
7. God will punish and strike them to release his children as
in Exo 3:20, “So I will stretch out my hand and strike the
Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them.
After that, he will let you go.”
8. God will not allow them to go out empty handed as in Exo 3:21,
"And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward
this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.”
9. God told his servant to make the people ask their neighbor
in faith as in Exo 3:22, “Every woman is to ask her neighbor
and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold
and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters.
And so you will plunder the Egyptians."
May the Lord bless each one of us as we try to
know the lord who watches over us and make Him known in this generation.
Amen.
