Acts 12:12 & 13, “And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today let us see about the power of collective prayer. When the church prays together there will be certainly deliverance taking place as a result. Whenever we ask any thing in the name of the lord Jesus Christ with single mind and faith, we can receive a miraculous answer from God. The bible says, “Church is the most powerful organization built by God” as He told in Mat 16:18, “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

When the church could not pray that God should save the life of James in one mind the king Herod hilled him as in Acts 12:2, “And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.” Now when the King Herod wanted to kill in the same manner apostle Peter the church started to pray to God. So, the King Herod could not kill Apostle Peter.

Apostle Peter was put in the Jail to be killed by King Herod the next day. Because of the prayers God started to do out standing things for them as in Acts 12:4 & 5, “After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover. So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.”

Let us see about the power of cooperative Prayer.
First of all, God send his angel to the prison to unlock all the chains as in Acts 12:6 & 7, “The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. "Quick, get up!" he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists.”
Secondly, the angel made him to dress and put the sandals as in Acts 12:8, “Then the angel said to him, "Put on your clothes and sandals." And Peter did so.
Thirdly, the angel commanded him to follow him as in "Wrap your cloak around you and follow me," the angel told him.”
Fourthly without knowing what he was doing he followed the angel and came out of the prison as in Acts 12:9, “Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision.
Fifthly, after bringing him out of the prison the angel left him as in Acts 12:10, “They passed the first and second guards and came to the Iron Gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him.”
Sixthly, Apostle Peter understood the miracle after coming out of the prison as in Acts 12:11, “Then Peter came to himself and said, "Now I know without a doubt that the Lord sent his angel and rescued me from Herod's clutches and from everything the Jewish people were anticipating."
Seventhly, God took him to the place where they were all praying for him this is the real power of the cooperative Prayer as in Acts 12:12 & 13, “When this had dawned on him, he went to the house of Mary the mother of John, also called Mark, where many people had gathered and were praying. Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer the door.” Also in Acts 12:16, “But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished.”

May the lord help each one of us to have similar cooperative Prayer for the growth of the church and the welfare of the leaders in these lost days. Definitely miracles will happen as we pray together in one mind. Amen.

Decision To Make

Psa 19:12 & 13, “Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

Things To Thank God

Acts 12:16 & 17, “But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison.

Further Bible Study

Mat 18:19 & 20, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
