Dear brothers and sisters,
Loving Greetings in Jesus Christ name. Today
let us see about the importance of knowing the exact will of God
and doing it in our lives. The people of Israel were totally controlled
by the lord since they followed the sign of His leading and there
movements in the wilderness were based on the move of the cloud
as we see in Exo.40:36 & 37. In the new testaments also the
bible says if we are controlled by the Holy Spirit like this we
are sons of God as in Rom 8:14, “because those who are led
by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” We have to give our
selves totally to follow and obey the Holy Spirit by walking in
step with Him to remain as a son of God in this world. To obtain
this level easily we must be also like the people of Israel, we
should follow the leading of God step by step and carefully follow
it as in Gal 5:25, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us
keep in step with the Spirit.” In those days all the Israelites
what has to do is, they have to move when the cloud moves other
wise they have to remain in that place waiting for it to move
as in Exo 40:36 & 37, “In all the travels of the Israelites,
whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would
set out; but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out--until
the day it lifted.”
We cannot walk as we please in our spiritual
life with the lord Jesus Christ. If we do that we will end up
in our spiritual death as in Prov 14:12, “There is a way
that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”
Apostle Paul says some thing more to this in Col 3:7 to 10, “You
used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now
you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage,
malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie
to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its
practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed
in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
• Apostle John says walk in the light (Jesus
Christ) in 1 John 1:6 to 7, “If we claim to have fellowship
with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the
truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we
have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his
Son, purifies us from all sin.
• Apostle John says walk in love and in obedience as in
2 John 1:6, “And this is love: that we walk in obedience
to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command
is that you walk in love.
• Apostle John says walk in the truth as in 3 John 1:3,
“It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell
about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk
in the truth.
May the Lord help each one of us to walk in the ways of God and
fulfill the will of God in our lives so that we can be qualified
to go to heaven as in Mat 7:21, "Not everyone who says to
me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he
who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Amen.
