Today's Rhema
Exo. 18:14, “When his father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he said, "What is this you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit as judge, while all these people stand around you from morning till evening?"

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings to you in Jesus Christ and our Lord. Today let us learn about the importance of sharing the work Load and doing a team work to do an effective ministry for the lord. Moses father in law who was an experience person in life told Moses the servant of God about this team work. When people could not do in any thing as a team they will get tired in the due curse and the people will also get tired as in Exo 18:17 & 18, “Moses' father-in-law replied, "What you are doing is not good. You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone.” When we work together we multiply our effectiveness.

Many times many servants of God try to do A to Z all by themselves because of many reasons:
1. They do not trust anybody in their life
2. And they may think only they have the grace of God to do the work.
3. They may think basically God called them only to do the ministry so they are ultimately responsible.
4. They could not train any one for such team work.
5. They could not identify the talented people in their group.

What to do know? Moses father in law told him to listen to this advice as in Exo 18:19, “Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you.
1. You must be the people's representative before God and bring their disputes to him. – [not totally withdrawing from the responsibility.]
2. Exo 18:20 Teach them the decrees and laws, - [it takes the leader to take time to teach them.]
3. And show them the way to live – [give them practical example and the right way of doing things.]
4. And the duties they are to perform. – [give them clear job descriptions and set goals.]
5. Exo 18:21, “But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, - [selecting the capable people is the main work.]
6. Trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain— [they should not work for gain and they must be trustable.]
7. And appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. – [as per their capacity we can honor them and put them leader over small and big groups.]
8. Exo 18:22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. – [let them have long term leadership responsibilities. And use their own talents and in case if they cannot handle anything let them approach you for that matter.]
9. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you. – [they help the leader to do the things with ease since it is a team work.]
10. Exo 18:23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied." – [this is the way to cope up with the strain in the life and ministry.]

The bible says Moses the anointed called servant of God listened to the advice of his father in law as in Exo 18:24, “Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said.”

May the Lord help each one of us to develop a team work where ever we may try to establish a work for the glory of God. Amen.
