Today's Rhema
Deu. 9:8, “At Horeb you aroused the Lord's wrath so that he was angry enough to destroy you.” Deu 9:19 & 20; I (Moses) feared the anger and wrath of the LORD, for he was angry enough with you to destroy you. But again the LORD listened to me. And the LORD was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him, but at that time I prayed for Aaron too.”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today let us see about the importance of escaping from the coming wrath and destruction of God. Whenever the people of God broke the commandments of God they provoked God to anger. The bible says in Exo 20:4, "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.” To implement the word of God in our lives we need both the God given Moses and the Priest Aaron. The individual ministries of today may take the people of God faraway from God. Because the one who is suppose to pray and help them to keep the commandments of God is the one who was used by Satan to make others to worship the idol. In the absence of Moses the servant of God Aaron who is also another called servant of God behaves differently. Satan used him to misguide the people of God that is some thing we must understand in our lives. We see a different Aaron when Moses the man of God is not around him.

First mistake is this, Now in the absence of Moses Aaron become a man pleaser as in Exo 32:1, “When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don't know what has happened to him." Immediately he obeyed them and agreed to make the idol for them.

The second mistake of Aaron is, Instead of the reminding the people in the absence of Moses the laws and the commandments of God to prevent them from breaking the covenant relationship they made with God, Aaron was used as an instrument of Satan to make the people of God sin by gathering their offerings to make an idol for them with his own hands. He did not do justice to the call of God in his life, instead of interceding for them to come out of their sin; he made them to sin against Gods commandments. That means even today, Satan can use the priests to give wrong guidance and help the people to sin and go away from God as in Exo 32:2 & 3, “Aaron answered them, "Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me. Vs.3, “So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron.” – [The spiritual lesson here is this: Let us not use our brain alone and starts functioning independently there is a great danger that we may fall. Without a proper fellowship a spiritual leader also can do similar mistakes when he functions independently. That is why the bible says woe unto those who act individually as in Eccl 4:9 & 10; “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: vs.10, “If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!”]

Third mistake, in the absence of Moses the called servant of God Aaron is making another mistake by making the idol and hand over it to them to worship as in Exo 32:4, “He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool.”

Fourth mistake, Satan uses the God given priest here to make the people of God celebrate the Idols by observing the people’s taste, by also fixing a festival for it to keep the momentum going in a more wrong way by as he announced the festival for the idol, " as in Exo. 32:5, Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD."

Fifth mistake, Aaron was the root cause for them to present the idols offerings by providing them the needed tool the alter in front of the idol as in Exo 32:5, “When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf the idol,”

Sixth mistake, he was the one totally misguided the people to transferred the spiritual sacrifices and offerings what belong to God to be observed for the idols by making them the altar he made them give offerings to the idol, may be for his own benefits and income. When he provided the people the altar they made use of it so he got his income as Exo 32:6, “So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings’ – [that means as long as he gets a income, he may not be worried about their future or he will never dare to give them the correct word of God to prevent them to get out of the coming wrath of God even if he knows what they are doing is wrong.]

Seventh mistake, Aaron was the cause for them to eat and drink and indulge in sin as in Exo.32:5, ‘Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” – [perversion comes whenever the children of God fail to praise and worship God as in Rom.1:21, 24]

We need the God given servant Moses now, if the children of God have to come out of their sin. Only he will have the boldness to say what is wrong because Moses never feared to say what is wrong in the whole worship system as in Exo 32:7, “Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt.” – [I wonder some time, ‘will the called Priests of God today, who also badly need the correcting voice of Moses, will they accept his corrections?’ But we need a spiritual man now to intercede for us to come out of the coming wrath of God. But do we have one spiritual leader who walks with God?]

May the Lord help each one of us to follow him in this month in an intelligent manner by walking with the God given spiritual leaders in good fellowship as in Heb.13:17. Amen.

Decision To Make

Gal 6:9 & 10, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Vs.10, Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Things To Thank God

Luke 6:22 & 23, ‘Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Vs.23, "Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.”

Further Bible Study

(Deu. 9:8 NIV) At Horeb you aroused the Lord's wrath so that he was angry enough to destroy you.
(2 Sam 6:8 NIV) Then David was angry because the Lord's wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.
(1 Chr 13:11 NIV) Then David was angry because the Lord's wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.
(2 Chr 32:25 NIV) But Hezekiah's heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the Lord's wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.
(2 Chr 32:26 NIV) Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord's wrath did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.
(Prov 22:14 NIV) The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit; he who is under the Lord's wrath will fall into it.
(Ezek 7:19 NIV) They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the Lord's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin.
(Micah 7:9 NIV) Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord's wrath, until he pleads my case and establishes my right. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.
(Zep 1:18 NIV) Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the Lord's wrath. In the fire of his jealousy the whole world will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live in the earth."
(Zep 2:2 NIV) before the appointed time arrives and that day sweeps on like chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD comes upon you, before the day of the Lord's wrath comes upon you.
