Loving Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is the good Shepherd of our life as in John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” And the Lord does so many things for us as a good shepherded and today for this month of September let us meditate the Lord as our Good Shepherd. The following are the main works of the Good Shepherd and it is my prayer that you may get all these helps from the Saviour Jesus Christ our good Shepherd. Just remember better let us take the word Shepherd it self and see as “S – H – E – P – E – R – D”

1. S – Saviour – “Jesus Christ is the only Saviour of the world as in Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."

2. H – Healer - “Jesus Christ is the healer the bible says that we are healed by his stripes as in Isa. 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Our Lord Jesus healed all the people whom he meet and he went around doing good as in Acts 10:38 "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.

3. E – Establisher - Jesus is the only one who can help us to get establish in our life. Prov 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. To get establish both in heaven and earth we have to get the help of our God he only helped Joseph to get establish in the unknown country called Egypt.

4. P – Protector - Jesus Christ is the one who protects us since he has all powers and authority both heaven and earth. In Psa 121:4 “indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Psa 34:20 “he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

5. H – Helper - Acts 10:38 "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him. In Psa 10:14 Thou hast seen it: for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

6. E – Encourager – Jesus will ALWAYS encourage us the bible says and he will not put out the smoldering wick as in Isa 42:3 “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice.” And also in Mat 12:20 “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.”

7. R – Restorer - Our Lord is the one who can restore our life as in Psa 14:7 “Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad! In Psa 23:3 “he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. In Psa 53:6 “Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

8. D – Deliverer - Psa 34:7 “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.” In Psa 34:17 “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.” In Psa 34:19 “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.” In Psa 37:40 “The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.”

May the Lord help us to taste and she that the Lord is good in all these different areas in our lives. Amen.
