Dear
brothers and sisters,
Loving Greetings
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. When we trust God and live with
humble and meek heart God will dwell with us and he will do some thing
to exalt us so let us believe these promise words which are given to
the chosen people of God like us.
Zep 3:12 But I
will leave within you the meek and humble,
who trust in the name of the LORD.
The characters
of the people of God among whom God is dwelling will be like this as
in Zep 3:13:
- Zep 3:13 The remnant
of Israel will do no wrong; - [the whole world may do wrong things
but the chosen people of God will remain as a remnant for the Lord
pure in all areas of life for the glory of the Lord since they have
purposed in their heart not to defile themselves like Daniel as in
Dan 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile
himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which
he drank: Have you taken any such decision for the Lord in this sinful
world that you may not defile yourself?]
- They will speak no
lies, - [Satan is the father of all lies and it is very common to
hear lies in these days. But our Lord Jesus Christ is the truth so
we have to always speak the truth and stand in the side of the truth.]
- Nor will deceit be
found in their mouths. – [We should not be like a fraud who can deceive
others through their cunning words.]
- They will eat and lie
down – [for them nothing will be lacking in this world since the lion
and its cubs may go hungry but the children of God will not lack any
good thing.]
- And no one will make
them afraid." – [they will be very bold like a lion so it is
hard for others to make them get afraid.]
What the people
of God must do in these days?
- Zep 3:14 Sing, O Daughter
of Zion; - [we must know the importance of singing songs and glorifying
the name of the Lord in our life.]
- Shout aloud, O Israel!
– [We must shout aloud without any fear and hesitation.]
- Be glad – [we must
be full of joy and gladness since that is our strength as in Neh 8:10
…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.]
- And rejoice with all
your heart, O Daughter of Jerusalem! – [We must enjoy our life every
day and taste the love of God and entertain his goodness in our hearts
every day. So that the devil cannot cloth us with the spirit of heaviness.]
Why should
and for what you can be glad and rejoice with all your heart?
- Zep 3:15 The LORD has
taken away your punishment, - [All our punishment Jesus has taken
on himself so that we need not to suffer again.]
- He has turned back
your enemy. – [Jesus Christ our Lord has more power over all the Satanic
works, which are going on in this world.]
- The LORD, the King
of Israel, is with you; - [the one who is with us is not an ordinary
person he is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.]
- Never again will you
fear any harm. – [Since the almighty Lord is with us we need not to
worry about any thing. He will see to that we may not harmed by anyone.
Zep 3:16
On that day they will say to Jerusalem,
(Let us believe all these things may
happen in our own lives as we serve the Lord now:
- "Do not fear,
O Zion; - [2 Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.]
- Do not let your
hands hang limp. – [Heb 12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang
down, and the feeble knees;]
- Zep 3:17 The LORD
your God is with you, - [Mat 28:20 …and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.]
- He is mighty to
save. – [Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With
men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.]
- He will take great
delight in you, - [Luke 1:14 He will be a joy and delight to you,
and many will rejoice because of his birth,]
- He will quiet you
with his love, - [Mat 22:37 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your
God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
Then God will also love us as in John 13:1 “Having loved his own who
were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.
- He will rejoice
over you with singing."- [Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that
mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy
for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that
they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,
that he might be glorified.
What all God
is doing for us?
- Zep 3:19
At that time I will deal with all who oppressed you; - [oppression
means “to press against or to weigh heavily on the mind, spirit or
senses of, to keep down by unjust use of power and authority and to
crush” So let us not in our life oppress any one and sin against the
almighty God. In Eccl 4:1 “Again I looked and saw all
the oppression that was taking place under the sun: I
saw the tears of the oppressed-- and they have no comforter;
power was on the side of their oppressors-- and they have no comforter.
But God will be our comforter.]
- I will rescue the lame
– [God himself will rescue the lame and make them prosper in life.]
- And gather those who
have been scattered. – [God will bring his people who were scattered
by the leaders of the land.]
- I will give them praise
and honor in every land where they were put to shame. – [Wherever
they go their God will cause them to get good reputations.]
- Zep 3:20 At that time
I will gather you; - [It is God who is choosing us together.]
- At that time I will
bring you home. – [we have a home which is not built by hands so with
hope let us work.]
- I will give you honor
and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your
fortunes before your very eyes," says the LORD. – [God will make
you the head not the tail.]
May the Lord help
each one of us to get all these blessings. Amen.
