Isa 45:1 "This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:

Isa 45:2 I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.

Isa 45:3 I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

Isa 45:4 For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me.

Isa 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,

Isa 45:6 so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.

Isa 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things.

Dear Brothers and sisters of our “Baroda Bible Club”

Loving Greetings in the name of our lord Jesus Christ. In this month of March let us prayerfully go through these verses in Isa 45:1 to 3, let us see these promises of God, which God gives to his anointed. He is giving unto us also all these things so that we may know that the Lord is the God of Israel.

1. I will open the doors before him so that gates will not be shut: - [It is God who opens the door that no body can shut as in Rev 3:8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.]

2. I will go before you – [God will go before us and we need not to fear for any danger in our life. When God goes before us we will be victorious as in Psa 59:10 my loving God. God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me.]

3. I will level the mountains; - [All the high mountains (difficulties) will be leveled that we may not have any difficulty in following the Lord. In Isa 40:4 “Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.]

4. I will break down gates of bronze – [Even the hard metal gates made of bronze will be also be broken by the almighty God. In Psa 107:16 for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.]

5. I will cut through bars of iron. – [All other obstacles made of iron will be also cut to make us progress in our journey. In Jer 6:27 "I have made you a tester of metals and my people the ore, that you may observe and test their ways. Jer 6:28 They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly.]

I will give you the treasures of darkness, - [God will give us the inheritance which we would have not worked for, also God has brought us out of darkness as in Col 1:13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, ]
I will give riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. – [God can make us rich by giving unto us the riches of this world]

May the Lord help each one of us to claim all these promises and enjoy the goodness of our Lord in this month. Amen.
