God's Promise For June - 2001

 
John 20:21 to 23,  “Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.  And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.  If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

Dear brothers and sisters of the “Baroda bible club”,

Loving Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Today let me talk about the Peace of God” for this month of June what Jesus our deliverer is promising to give unto us.  Who is this Jesus?  He is the Prince of Peace.   In John 20:21 to 23,  “Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you!

First of all Jesus is giving you this “Peace” that it may be with you in your life.  If you ask me why he is giving you this peace?  It is not God’s will that you suffer with out any peace of mind.  It is not God’s will that you may live in agony and fear each day.  Jesus Christ also said in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  So, first of all we must have this peace of God in our life.  Also Jesus told in John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Secondly, In John 20:21 to 23,  Again Jesus said, As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.  Why he is giving us this peace in this peace-less world?  To send us to others as ambassadors of Peace.  This peace what Jesus Christ has given to us should not selfishly kept by us, because He wants us to give this peace to others who are living in this world without this peace, as it is in Luke 10:5  "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.'   Also Jesus told in Mat 10:13 “If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.  So we have to be an useful person in this world, as in Luke 1:79 “to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace."

 Thirdly, we cannot do this job on our own strength without the Holy Spirit of God so in John 20:21 to 23,  Again Jesus said, “And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.   When you receive the holy spirit we are receiving the comforter as in John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—Also Jesus told in John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Also in Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Fourthly, you cannot spread the peace unless you forgive one another as Christ Jesus did on the cross.  In John 20:21 to 23, 

If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." Let us start forgiving all so that Jesus Christ may also do the same unto us.  So that our own peace what we have received from the Lord will be preserved in all situation.

May the Lord help each one of us to walk in the paths of righteousness to get the real peace and his guidance in our life.  In another words; let us become the real children of God (of the prince of peace) by promoting the peace in this month as in Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Have a nice peaceful month in Jesus name.  Amen.
