God's Promise

Dear Baroda Bible Club members Happy New Year Greetings,

    Today we are alive and kept in this world by the grace of the Lord our God who created every thing by His power and might. To God the bible says in Psa 90:4 "For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. Also in 2 Pet 3:8 "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

    It is always good to look back and see the days of the past as in Psa 77:5 "I thought about the former days, the years of long ago. When we do that we learn from our past mistakes and experiences.

    The Psalmist says in Psa. 90:14 & 15, Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, intended for as many years as we have seen trouble. So only god can satisfy us in this world.

    It is really God who helps us to see more prosperous years. So we must learn to plan each year with the Lord and in the Presence of the Lord. Keeping God as our main in all our Programs and giving more priority for the kingdom of God work and for understanding the word of God. In Prov 9:11 "For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life."

    The bible says the fear of the Lord helps us to have more years of life as in Prov 10:27 "The fear of the LORD adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short." Man’s life span on this earth is as in Psa 90:10 The length of our days is seventy years-- or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

    Psa. 65:11 "You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.." But God will crown your living years with His goodness as the psalmist says in Psa 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever." Since every good things are coming from our God as in James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." So, Let us keep looking at God in all walks of our Life as in Psa 121:1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills; From whence comes my help?

    As we worship God every year for a special yearly blessings, God will definitely grant to you some new blessings as in Zec 14:16 & 17, "Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain."

    Whatver is your need may be come before God and honor Him every year and He will help you to have goodness and every thing in abundance. He will help you to enjoy each day with happiness. Have a wonderful and a prosperous year with the help of God. Amen.
