Chirstian Priest beheaded in Karimnagar Mustabad (Karimnagar), Sept.
12: Unidentified assailants reportedly beheaded a 52-year
old Christian preacher and government employee in Mustabad village
outskirts on Monday night.According to the police, the mutilated
body of Yesu Dasu was found in a pool of blood at a cattle shed near
Kothakunta along the Mustabad-Siddipet highway, three km from here,
on Tuesday morning.
Apparently, the assailants tied Yesu Dasu’s hands
and inflicted multiple injuries with an axe on his neck and severing
the head. Several pieces of the body were found scattered at the
scene of offence. Mustabad villagers said the victim was popular in
the mandal for the past 20 years as a Christian preacher. Yesu Dasu
was a government employee working as leprosy non-medical
assistant.
According to the bereaved family members, two
persons riding a motor-cycle came to his house around 7 pm on Monday
and took him away saying that “Pedda Sir” wanted to speak to
him.
When Dasu failed to return home even after 10 pm,
his anxious wife and children searched for him in the village but in
vain. Finally, on Tuesday morning, they rushed to the outskirts
after some villagers told them that the mutilated body of the
preacher has been found.
Yesu Dasu leaves behind wife, three daughters and a
son.On receipt of information, deputy superintendent of police K
Muralidhar Rao and other officials visited the spot and have taken
up investigation.
